The Lean-Mentality is not a tool, nor a waste-reduction program. It is a way of thinking and operating. It is a mentality. And it has the power to transform your entire organization, when correctly learned and practiced. Step one is to embrace the Lean-Mentality as the way the organization operates. It is about perspective, a systematic and holistic point of view, and a deep transformation in the way the organization functions.

 

If you are interested in a short-term program or a superficial, partially-fixing tool, LEAN manufacturing is NOT for you. 

 

There are no boundaries to the application of the Lean-Mentality. The main objective is satisfying your customer by  providing exactly what is required, in the right amount, at the convened time and the expected quality. As impossible as this might sound, it is easier than you think. 

 

All that is needed is a rewire of how the organization is conceived and operated. Change the focus of managing separate departments, technologies and assets to ONE value stream. In other words, stop operating vertically and start operating horizontally.
